About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. This role is central to maintaining financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the management team to track performance, manage budgets, and contribute to Rivia Clinics’ growth.
This is not a traditional back-office role. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where your insights directly shape operations and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Oversee payroll processing and staff reimbursements
- Monitor cash flow and reconcile bank statements
2. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian tax laws and statutory reporting standards
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required
3. Budgeting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Track expenses against budgets and highlight variances
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with operations and management teams to align financial planning with clinic goals
- Support procurement and vendor management with financial oversight
- Contribute to workflow improvements in financial processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ICA Ghana, ACCA, CPA) preferred
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in healthcare or service industries
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Ghanaian tax regulations, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Adaptability and stakeholder management skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
