About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to deliver member-centered care across our clinics. You will ensure safe clinical practices, member satisfaction, and contribute to operational efficiency while supporting doctors and nurses in providing world-class care.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Member Care: Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures under physician supervision.
- Collaboration with Doctors: Work closely with supervising physicians to ensure optimal member outcomes.
- Clinical Support: Assist in diagnostic evaluations, order and interpret lab tests, and provide follow-up care.
- Education & Counseling: Educate members and their families on treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
- Accurate Records: Maintain complete and precise member records in electronic health systems.
- Safe Environment: Promote a safe and positive environment for members and staff.
- WOW Service: Go above and beyond to serve members, prospective or existing.
- Outreach & Enrollment: Support outreach activities, canvassing, and member enrollment initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Contribute to care coordination, clinic workflow improvements, and team communication.
- Telehealth Services: Provide virtual consultations and follow-ups through telehealth platforms.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior staff and locum nurses, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Community Engagement: Participate in health education campaigns and community outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current and valid Physician Assistant license in good standing
- Valid registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, insurance benefits, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and healthcare providers
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, cloud applications, and research tools
- Passion for delivering exceptional member care and improving health outcomes
