About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Anesthesiologist with at least 5 years of clinical practice to deliver safe and effective anesthesia care across our clinics. You will ensure member safety during surgical and diagnostic procedures, contribute to operational efficiency, and support innovation in perioperative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Anesthesia Administration: Provide safe anesthesia care for surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures.
- Preoperative Assessment: Evaluate members’ medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and determine anesthesia plans.
- Intraoperative Monitoring: Monitor vital signs, adjust anesthesia levels, and respond to complications during procedures.
- Postoperative Care: Manage recovery from anesthesia, pain control, and follow-up care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Education & Counseling: Guide on anesthesia risks, pain management, and perioperative care to members and families.
- Accurate Records: Maintain complete and precise anesthesia records in electronic health systems.
- Safe Environment: Promote a safe and positive environment for members and staff.
- WOW Service: Go above and beyond to serve members, prospective or existing.
- Leadership: Mentor junior clinicians and contribute to continuous improvement in clinical operations.
Qualifications
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Current and valid license with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in anesthesia practice
- Strong understanding of perioperative medicine, pain management, and critical care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and healthcare providers
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and perioperative monitoring systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, cloud applications, and research tools
- Passion for delivering exceptional member care and improving health outcomes
