About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Lab Technician to join our clinical team. You will play a critical role in supporting diagnostic accuracy, ensuring safe laboratory practices, and contributing to operational efficiency across our clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Collection & Processing: Collect, prepare, and analyze biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) with accuracy and care.
- Diagnostic Testing: Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests to support clinical decision-making.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to guarantee reliable results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver timely and accurate test results.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise documentation of test results in electronic health systems.
- Member Care: Provide clear explanations to members about laboratory procedures when required.
- WOW Service: Uphold Rivia’s values by going above and beyond to support members and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Current and valid license with the Allied Health Professions Council (Ghana)
- Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and laboratory information systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for accuracy, member care, and continuous improvement
